Memory Lake – Hurricane (Official Music Video)
A journey through a devastated landscape. Hurricane follows a woman in a ghost town located in Normandy, France. Intrigued by a mysterious dancer, she follows him through the ruins looking for something or someone. The shadow finally leads her to two motionless men that awakes them with his captivating moves…
It was due to the need for a ghostly atmosphere that Hurricane was shot in Pirou, a partly abandoned village in Normandy. A curious place of 120 buildings on the Channel Sea tagged by street artists coming from all around France for more than 20 years. After Agnès Varda and JR’s movie “Visages Villages” recently acclaimed at the Cannes Film Festival, Memory Lake’s music video was the last shooting in the ghost town, torn down since for safety reasons.

Hurricane is Memory Lake’s first official music video. Since 2014, the French band explores a common sensibility through sound research and electronic work. Influenced by many music genres and other creative forms, the music of Memory Lake calls for immersion and exploration of an immaterial world drawing its source in the unconscious. The trio chose its name Memory Lake to represent a place somewhere between dreams and reality. A lake that is not as calm as it seems and whose depths are still unclear.
Memory Lake will release its first album SPIRAL in February 2018 and you can also expect an EP by the end of 2017… Finally, you can listen on the first Friday of every month for their new cover for “Memory Friday”.
